Healthcare. It's going to cost money, we can't change that. That means, either the government pays, insurance pays, or you pay for it personally.
If it's the government that pays for it, that's what your tax dollars are being used for. Insurance paying for it means premiums are tied to the number of people that have it(insurance pools), and if you pay for it, welcome to bankruptcy.
The only other option is to not have healthcare.
Obamacare was trying the happy medium: insurance people in large groups to lower premiums and subsidize those whose premiums are too high. There are plenty of nuanced problems it hit, but, it fundamentally covers the basis of how healthcare can be provided.
Currently, the GOP is now trying to figure out how to convince people to use insurance without making people enter the risk pool. That's not how that works. That's not how any of this works.
Without them actually choosing a direction, any future plan they put for is going to be a disaster. Lying to Americans about how the system works is just going to cause everyone substantial harm.
