The world against you? Betrayed? Underappreciated? Family not supportive? Girlfriend doesn't think you can do it? Boyfriend undermines how talented you are?
Systematic disadvantages set you up with fewer resources and opportunities than others in a society still expects you to succeed?
What's the other option?
Adversity sucks. Adversity without awareness is like trying to fight a natural disaster. You can't confront demons that you don't know exist. Awareness is generally the most difficult part of problem-solving. At times, to be aware is to be infuriated, and, it's easy to give in to justified anger. However, just being angry doesn't fix problems for the present or the future. Awareness generally involves humility, honesty, and a solution that may involve swallowing your pride to get past your anger.
On your way, as you push forward, someone is going to give you a chance. A helping hand . A friend that gets you an interview. A boss that listened to your idea. A cop that let's you off with a warning.
This is where our obligation as a society lies; make that part easier for the next generation. Lend that helping hand. Provide less hurdles for growth. Invest in the foundations that build a better life for all of us. Maybe we had to fight because it wasn't fair, but, if we push hard enough, the next generation won't.
